Terms of Use
The rules for using the Yamiko bots. In effect, a short agreement between you and the project.
In short
- By using the bots, you accept these terms, the server rules and Discord’s terms.
- Staff members make decisions about sanctions and applications. You can appeal them.
- Coins and other rewards are the server’s internal currency, not money and not a salary.
- The bots are provided “as is”: things occasionally go wrong.
- Questions and disputes are settled by email first.
This is a plain-language summary. The full text below is what legally applies.
1. What this agreement covers
These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of the Yamiko bots (see “Who we are” in the Privacy Policy). They apply together with the Privacy Policy, the server rules and Discord’s Terms of Service.
By using the bots — sending commands, pressing buttons, filling in forms — you accept these terms. If you don’t agree with them, don’t use the bots’ features.
2. Who can use the bots
You must be at least the minimum age Discord requires in your country. When using the bots, you comply with the law, Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, and the server rules.
3. What is not allowed
- getting around restrictions, entry bans and access permissions;
- disrupting the bots: flooding commands, looking for and exploiting vulnerabilities;
- inflating activity, voice time or giveaway entries, including from extra accounts;
- abusing reports, appeals and moderator calls;
- using the bots to harass people or collect other people’s data;
- for staff members, going beyond their authority.
Breaking these rules may lead to restrictions on the server and in the bots’ features.
4. Moderation and decisions
Staff members make decisions about sanctions, entry bans and applications under the server rules; the bots help carry them out. Automated checks, such as the account age check, sometimes make mistakes.
Any decision can be appealed through an appeal on the server or by emailing yamikostaff@proton.me. An appeal doesn’t mean automatic reversal: we consider it on its merits.
We may restrict access to the bots or their features without notice where this is needed to stop a violation or protect the server.
5. The staff team
Joining the staff team is voluntary. It is not employment and not a service contract: ranks, warnings and payouts are internal server rules.
The server administration may change the team’s membership, ranks, activity requirements and rules at its discretion. The bots keep records of work, warnings, leave and payouts under those rules.
6. Coins, rewards and giveaways
Coins and other rewards are the server’s internal currency. They are not money, have no monetary value and give no right to demand payment.
A payout counts once the operation is confirmed. We may correct or reverse payouts made by mistake.
A giveaway’s conditions are shown on its card. Prizes are provided by the giveaway’s organisers and sponsors. We may cancel a giveaway or draw winners again if the conditions were broken or something went wrong.
7. What you send through the bots
You are responsible for your applications, appeals, reports, letters and orders: they must not contain other people’s personal data, insults or anything unlawful.
By sending such text, you allow us to store it and show it wherever the feature requires: a “Milosti” letter is posted in a channel, reviewers read an appeal. We may hide or remove material that breaks the rules.
8. Availability and liability
The bots are provided “as is”. We try to keep them running smoothly, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted, error-free operation or that every record will be preserved.
We may change the bots’ features, suspend them or stop running them.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, loss of internal currency or rewards, or outages of Discord and other services we don’t control. Liability that the law does not allow to be limited remains.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The revision date is shown at the top of the page. We will announce significant changes in advance on the Yamiko server or on this page. If you keep using the bots after the changes take effect, you accept them.
10. Disputes
If something goes wrong, email us at yamikostaff@proton.me — most issues are resolved by email.
If we can’t reach agreement, the dispute is governed by the law of the Russian Federation and heard by the court at the operator’s location, unless your country’s law gives you the right to something else.
If any provision of these terms turns out to be invalid, the rest remain in force.
