Deleting and correcting data
How to find out what data the bots keep about you, and how to correct or delete it.
In short
- Email yamikostaff@proton.me and include your Discord ID.
- We will ask you to confirm the account is yours.
- We delete or correct the data and tell you what was done.
This is a plain-language summary. The full text below is what legally applies.
1. How to send a request
Email yamikostaff@proton.me with the subject “Data — Discord”. In your message, include:
- your Discord ID. To copy it, turn on “Settings → Advanced → Developer Mode” in Discord, then right-click your name and choose “Copy User ID”;
- what you want us to do: send a copy of your data, correct it or delete it;
- the bot or situation, if you know which one it is.
Don’t send passwords, tokens, documents or other people’s data — we don’t need them.
2. Verification
So that no one can obtain or delete someone else’s data, we may ask you to confirm that the account is yours — for example, by sending a code we give you from that account in Discord. We ask only for what the check requires.
3. Timing
We reply without undue delay and within the time limits set by law. If a request is complex, we will tell you how long it will take.
4. What gets deleted
- records about you in the bots’ databases and the Staff API;
- your account on www.yamiko.ru, if you linked Discord in the “Anime of the day” game, together with your streak, keys and stats;
- the bots’ state files and your saved profile;
- at your request, records about you in the server’s moderation logs, if they are no longer needed to deal with violations;
- data in backups: in copies of the bots’ data it disappears when the copy is replaced by a new one, within a week; we will remove your ID from copies of the server structure if it appears there.
If we ever have to restore the system from a backup, we won’t bring back what we deleted at your request.
5. What may remain
- data the law requires or allows us to keep, for example to protect rights in a dispute — only as much as necessary;
- messages you sent to Discord channels yourself: that is Discord data, which you or the server administration delete.
If anything remains, we will tell you what and why.
Deleting data doesn’t lift restrictions on the server: a restriction role or a ban stays in place in Discord and can only be lifted through an appeal. After deletion, the bots may again store data about your new actions on the server.
6. When data isn’t deleted automatically
Leaving the server, deleting your own message or losing a role doesn’t delete the bots’ records automatically. To have them deleted, email us.
7. If you disagree with our answer
Write to us again and we will look into it. You can also contact the data protection authority in your country.
